Eligibility & Experience
Who can join Paradigm Game Camp?
The camp is open to students aged 11–19 from anywhere in the world. There are no geographic restrictions — participants join virtually from wherever they are.
Do I need coding experience to apply?
No coding experience is required at all. All you need is the drive and interest to develop a game. The programme is designed to take complete beginners through the full process of designing, building, and shipping a game.
Programme Structure
What does the 4-week programme look like?
The camp follows a sprint format across four weeks:
- Week 1 — Design & Prototype
- Week 2 — Build & Code
- Week 3 — Playtest & Polish
- Week 4 — Launch & Go to Market
Sessions run on Tuesdays and Fridays, two hours each, for a total of 8 sessions over the programme.
When are the sessions, and which time zone?
Two sessions run each day to accommodate different time zones:
- US session — Tuesdays & Fridays, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time
- Global session — Tuesdays & Fridays, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM GMT+1
New students may join either cohort depending on which time works best for them.
When does the camp take place?
The programme runs across June and July, with the first week of August reserved for Showcase Week — a global virtual event where both cohorts come together to present their finished games to a live audience of parents, guardians, and friends.
How many students are in each cohort?
Each cohort is capped at 40 spots to keep the experience focused and manageable.
Fees
How much does it cost?
The fee is charged weekly. Prices vary by region:
- USA — $50 / week
- EU — €42 / week
- UK — £36 / week
- Nigeria — ₦68,000 / week
The full programme runs for 4 weeks.
Outcomes
What will I have at the end of the camp?
By the end of the four weeks you will have a published game with your name on it, real skills in game design, programming, and product thinking, and a strong portfolio piece to show future schools, colleges, or employers.
What is Showcase Week?
Showcase Week takes place in the first week of August. Both the US and Global cohorts come together for a global virtual event where games are published, presented, and celebrated in front of a live audience. It is the culmination of the entire programme.
